read through some of the more than half of the "walden pond", to be honest look at a lot of paragraphs do not really understand, but say it is fun sections of animals that people read fresh.

the first animal is the rooster attention, and that the most common birds, however the authors pen in the air all of a sudden and very poor. thoreau is the author described them this way: the rooster, pheasant was originally, and their chirping is the worlds most beautiful music, better than all the other animals, but most of the time to fill the gaps in their voice is their wife - the mother chickens are noisy, its no wonder that they ultimately can only be the poultry, not to mention what kind of a chicken egg. these words can not help people desperately want to remember the music chenming rooster, the result was a loss, except in writing from the mechanical "oo" sound. as for the hen, they can only remember them after the end of each time it is under the "giggle" to stop the called.

walden pond, how can there are so many wild animal? every day it seems that the author and not the name they say hello. are familiar with ant, but where the ants are like the soldiers how to ah, make that an ant war was afraid to read the small bio of contempt. lovely fledgling partridge destitute people, they only obey the instinct of mothers and their own oh, the fullness of their long feathers of the body of small branches and leaves together to maintain the same posture, where to stay motionless, it picked up when a stranger or follow it, it continues to stay as motionless, or take your eyes clean. scary, of course, most diving birds, and it always sent laugh, when it is from this lake first dive, the observer much hunting or after a lot of fun. what it is, you can go to the bottom of the lake to fish in the bird.

after all the human animal is, ah, just high-level animals. the author predicted that the result of human progress must be to give up meat, as the savage to the civilized around after people give up bad habits, like eating. i do not know human beings are not one day give up meat, it is very curious about the rabbit call. in the book, the author said: rabbit to the end, the truth was a child cry. on rabbits, the most profound impression that the tree hit a hare, but there is no written record of our had been a poor hunt rabbits.

the scarlet letter offers an extraordinary insight into the norms and behavior of the 17th century if american puritan society.the basic conflicts and problems of its main characters, however, are familiar to readers in the present.the female protagonist, has borne a child out of wedlock and has been jailed for over three months and sentenced to wear a symbol of her adultery,a scarlet"a"on her dress at all times.it concerns about the moral, emotional and psychological effect of the sin on people in general.it's not simply a love story or a story of sin.the scarlet letter by nathaniel hawthorne uses the scarlet letters to symbolize the harshness of puritan society, showing how they brand sinners for life.

the story happened in boston about 200 years ago.it narrates love affairs between three persons.the punished woman.hester prynne and his husband.who called himself roger chillingworth.he is an old misshapen man and a doctor.hester does not love him at all.another man is a young minister, dimmesdale, who has a high position among ministers and is highly respected among his people in town.hester and dimmesdale love each other.but their love is forbidden in that time.it is sinful.due to this, hester is punished by society with a letter a on her chest, which considered an evil,a shame.

but arthur dimmesdale, his sin against hester and pearl is that he will not acknowledge them as his wife.

飘的英语读后感篇4

once when i was six years old, i saw a magnificent picture in a book, called true stories from nature, about the primeval forest. it was a picture of a boa constrictor in the act of swallowing an animal. here is a copy of the drawing.

in the book it said:" boa constrictors swallow their prey whole, without chewing it. after that they are not able to move, and they sleep through the six months that they need for digestion."

i pondered deeply, then, over the adventures of the jungle. and after some work with a colored pencil i succeeded in making my first drowing,my drawing number one. it looked like this:

i showed my masterpiece to the grown-ups, and asked them whether the drawing frightened them.

but they answered:"frighten? why should any one be frightened by a hat?"

my drawing was not a picture of a hat. it was a picture of a boa constrictor digesting an elephant. but since the grown-ups were not able to understand it, i made another drawing: i drew the inside of the boa constrictor,so that the grown-ups could see it clearly. they always need to have things explained. my drawing number two looked like this:

the grown-ups response, this time, was to adviseme to lay aside my drawing of boa constrictors, whether from the inside or the outside and devote myself instead to geography, history, arithmetic and grammar. that is why, at the age of six, i gave up what might have been a magnificent career as a painter. i had been disheartened by the failure of my drawing number one and my drawing number two. grown-ups never understand anything by themselves, and it si tiresome for children to be always and forever explaining things to them.

so then i chose another profession, and learned to pilot airplanes.

i have flown a little over all parts of the world:and it is ture that geography has been very useful to me. at a glance i can distinguish china from arizona. if one gets lost in the night, such knowledge is valuable.

in the course of this life i have had a great many encounters with a great many people who have been concerned with matters of consequence. i have lived a great deal among grown-ups. i have seen them intimately, close at hand. and hasn't much improved my opinion of them.

whenever imet one of them who seemed to me at all clearsighted, i tried the experiment of showing him my drowing number one. which i have always kept. i would try to find out, so, if this was a person of true understanding. but, whoever it was, he ,or she, would always say:

"that is a hat."

then i would never talkto that people about boa constrictors, or primeval forest, or stars. i would bring myself down to his level. i would talk to him about bridge, and golf, and politics, and neckties. and the grown-ups would be greatly pleased to have met such a sensible man.

飘的英语读后感篇7

this is the perfect book to share with younge children. it may be intended to be read by the children but i am in eighth grade and still love it.

if you are looking for a funny, entergetic, and family friendly story then you have found one in alice in wonderland. i give this classic tail five stars and two thumbs way up.

alice in wonderland is about a girl that falls in a hole and goes into this magical world. i think alice in wonderland is an ok book for my age if you like fantasy books. you may not like it because nothing makes sense. for example, they have a trial where the witnesses don"t know about the crime and the judge says to the jurors, that"s important! but the rabbit corrects him. i think it would have been a better book if i was 7 and my mom was reading it to me right before bed. the only problem with that is that younger kids might not understand much of the vocabulary but they might still enjoy it if you explain the words to them. if you"re an adult and want a good book for your 5, 6 or 7 year old, i recommend alice in wonderland .

飘的英语读后感篇8

nowadays, i have read a composition which is named a friend in need.the text is taken from the short stories of somerset maugham (1983).a friend in need: the title is derived from the english proverb afriend in need is a friend indeed.somerset maugham is an english writer who is considered to be one of the best writers of short stories in the english language.he also wrote plays and novels, including of human bondage and ale.many of his stories are about human weaknees.the content of this composition is contrary to the title.

the composition is made up with three paragraphs.in the first paragraph, the author said that it was no easy job to judge people, for they aren’t always what they appear to be.many people believe that their first impreions of a person are always right.however, after thirty years studying his fellowmen, for the author’s own part he found that the longer he know people the more puzzle him.

in the second paragraph, the author described king and gentle, edward hyde burton, a wealthy merchant, who appeared as if he could not bear to hurt a fly.edward hyde burton was a tiny little fellow, not much more than five feet four in height, and very slender, with white hair, a red face much wrinkled, and blue eyes.edward hyde burton was about sixty when the author knew him.edward hyde burton was always neatly and quietly dreed in accordance with his age and station.edward hyde burton did not talk very much, either then or later when they were having drinks, but what he said was sensible.edward hyde burton had a quiet, dry humor.edward hyde burton seemed to be popular at the club and afterwards, when he gone, they described him as one of the best.unle the author had heard the story from his own lips, he should never have believed that he was capable of such an action.however, edward hyde burton turned out to be the cutthroat of his friend.

in the third paragraph, the author found that edward hyde burton turned out to be cold-blooded enough to send a friend to certain death.edward hyde burton had a friend, oddly enough a namesake of his, who was the best bridge player he had ever met.the name of edward hyde burton’s friend is turner, who is a remittance man.turner was always well-dreed and smart-looking.turner was handsome in a way with curly hair and pink-and-white cheeks.but turner drank too much.a bit of money used to come on for turner once a quarter and he made a bit more by card-playing.once turner lost much money, and he turned to edward hyde burton for a job.at first, edward hyde burton asked turner’s strength.turner told edward hyde burtonthat he could swim very well in university.knowing turner might be dead to swim for such long distance, edward hyde burton asked turner to swim.however, turner could not swim such long distance.turner was dead at last.

after reading this composition, i learned that we should not identify people at the first impreion or by the appearance of people.
